Shed a little tear last night. My wife and I are both NHS doctors. We have a 2yo and work part time. Yesterday 3 THREE separate friends text saying “we’ve discussed the situation and if needed we’ll stay off and look after 2yo if you need to be on the frontline. 😊🙏😢 #COVID19

So society’s *real* key workers have just been revealed. Not the bankers. Not the traders. Not the elite hedge fund managers. It’s the nurses. The doctors. The delivery drivers. The carers. The porters. The teachers. The shelf stackers. The check out staff. #COVID19

With all the anxiety around, just thought I'd share something really lovely I did whilst on placement at The QEH King's Lynn. I ran gardening therapy sessions for the elderly patients on my ward promoting socialisation, reminisce and a chance to be in touch with nature and get creative 💚

Occupational Therapists During COVID-19. Not only paramount for patient flow, to keep beds clear for admissions. Not only paramount in the rehabilitation to enable people to rebuild their lives, but also paramount in supporting critical care!

Spending ever opportunity I can at the beach at the moment, find it really helps me to de-stress and switch off from a busy mind.

So so lucky to be doing my MSc with this amazing group of lecturers, so grateful for their support especially during the last 6 months. Excited now for the the new @UEAOTRECIPE placement starting in September!

Pretty much 2 years ago exactly, doing a very nervous smile (and a fringe!) as I set off for the first day of my MSc. Today it was confirmed that I've passed with distinction!! Can't quite believe it, super proud of myself 😊 Can't wait to get into my first OT role now 💚 #OT_UEA
