Main issue is Southgate repeating errors from the Croatia World Cup exit. England sat too deep from 50-70 mins- Chiellini & Bonucci were literally receiving passes in England’s half. Pressure was mounting but Southgate’s tactical switch to 4-3-3 came too late, after Italy scored.
