Watching the Clark brothers from Invisible Creature share their history with playing music and getting into design and man… so much of it resonates with me. So cool to hear these stories.

I have a deep level of respect for Republican Congressman Peter Meijer (Peter Meijer) for his thoughtful, honest take on impeachment and the events at the capitol on Jan 6. I highly recommend hearing his perspective on The Daily: nytimes.com/2021/01/15/pod…

I told someone the other day that I designed software when they asked me what I do for work. After confirming that I wasn’t a coder, they said “Oh, so you do like, arts and crafts?” Oh how I’ve missed interactions with strangers.

For better or for worse, I am becoming less opinionated on design tools. While obviously an important part of our craft, the tool is just the means to the end – ideal outcomes can be realized with many different tools. Focus on the ends rather than the means.

Oh no big deal, Donovan Mitchell is just averaging 30.1 points in 32.1 minutes over the last 12 games. Nearly a point per minute on literal 50-40-90 shooting splits, that's all.

The desire to be right is a helluva drug. It’s unfortunate how much weight we put behind something that really just doesn’t matter. Try to be okay with being wrong more often.

You know more than you think – trust your gut instinct. Many “smart” people have no idea what they’re doing but are simply good at trusting themselves.

Lasting, deep, life-altering joy doesn’t come from things, but from experiences – primarily experiences where you are intentionally putting others before yourself. #notetoself

This take from Ben Thompson about Facebook, politics, and the Internet is spot on. The most thoughtful, reasonable, and accurate opinion I’ve read on the subject.

Any freelance product designers open for work? I’ve helped scope a really interesting project (software+hardware product for audio engineers) and want to pass it on to good hands. RT’s welcome!

Congrats to the Figma crew! As a young designer, Photoshop was life and I still really love Adobe’s tools (even though I don’t use them as often). I’m hopeful for their joined future.
