Travelling back from a meeting in Dorchester on Thursday I just felt I had to stop and take a couple of photos and to appreciate beautiful areas there are in the region I cover. View from Spreading Eagle Hill

The high rise fire in Slough last week highlighted again the dangers of ACM cladding for firefighters and those living in them. It comes days after the high rise fire in Dagenham, further exposing the national scandal faced with building regulations, ops response after 14 years

When OxonFireRescue has seen cuts of firefighter numbers to the tune of 89 posts since 2010 and when Oxfordshire County Council has overseen funding cuts to public services such as libraries, social care and road maintenance…….this £51 million waste of public funds is quite frankly

Grenfell is a stark reminder that effective safety regulation isn’t ’red-tape’ - it saves lives. We owe it to the 72 victims and their families to never again let corporate greed and state indifference endanger people’s lives. bbc.co.uk/news/live/c623…

Today has, like everyday since 14th June 2017, been about the 72 that lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower fire. Tomorrow and onwards, we must ensure we continue to seek justice for all those affected then, and all still to this day. 💚

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase Two report was published yesterday and Steve Wright has this evening released the following statement. bit.ly/3TdZ6Bx

The Grenfell Inquiry report calls out manufacturers like Arconic, Kingspan, and Celotex for manipulating test data and deceiving people about the safety of their products. It is so similar to the deception of asbestos manufacturers, like Cape, still killing people every year.

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase Two report was published this week and I was asked for comments by the media on the issues highlighted in the report and regarding the recent high rise fire in Slough attended by Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service crews.

OTD 1 year ago, FBU Northamptonshire were mid campaign which, concluding - removing a disgraced and misogynistic PFCC. 👏 👏 FBU Reg6 East Midlands played a huge supporting role. 💪 It was fantastic to see the commitment of Vice President Steve Wright supporting the members & campaign.

Really enjoyed being in Blackpool for this last night. Questions on Grenfell, wages, winter fuel payments and the rise of the far-right. You can listen again at 1.10pm or on BBC Sounds. #BBCAQ

A well organised & successful campaign, months of tireless work by FBU Northamptonshire & FBU Reg6 East Midlands reps & members led to PFCC Stephen Mold stepping down. The campaign held him accountable for poor appointments & exposed flaws in fire service governance.

I'm deeply worried about the effect that cutting the Winter Fuel Allowance, introduced by Labour in 1997, will have on pensioners in my community. Along with other MPs, I’ve signed this Early Day Motion by Neil Duncan-Jordan MP. I believe our government should drop this plan.
