Had a wonderful week at #ISH2023! Thank you to everyone who helped put it together, including the current president Rachel A. Ankeny (she/her). Met many great people and saw lots of cool talks. Anyone interested in any aspect of biology should checkout ISHPSSB.

I have now read and highly recommend @DrKeishaRay's new book 'Black Health'! I learned a lot and will be using parts of it in my bioethics class this fall. It has material on social determinants of health, racism in medicine, history of human research, and much more! Get it now!

Philosophy People!! Is there anyone going to the PPE conference in November and interested in splitting an airbnb with me so that we don't have to overpay for the hotel? Let me know!

I'm so excited to be discussing theories of healthcare justice in my bioethics class tomorrow! What are some of your favorite books and/or articles on healthcare justice?

I did a day on basic genetics in my bioethics class. Good thing I talked about Rosalind Franklin. A student told me that their bio professor didn't even mention her when talking about figuring out the structure of DNA. Told some story about Watson & Crick scribbling in a bar..😀

Nothing like editing a paper on emergency and disaster management when the tornado siren goes off. πŸŒͺ️(I'm fine)

You can now watch my talk on developing a feminist political philosophy of science from the recent conference at Minnesota Center for Philosophy of Science! :) The talk is a big picture view of ways to combine political philosophy and philosophy of science! youtube.com/watch?v=AIJcRG…

A true giant of multiple fields. I know I'm just one random person, but her work has had and will continue to have a large impact on my thinking and research. I'm thankful that she gave us so much.
