I've learned more here about how to navigate my disability than from any of my clinical teams. Sometimes I think the disabled, vulnerable, minoritised & marginalised are the most clear-eyed when it comes to seeing power structures for what they are & pushing against them.

Timeline: -spend much of the pandemic researching epidemiology of COVID in children -spend months working with multi-disciplinary grp to write paper for COVID enquiry -get peer-reviewed & publish -get slandered by people partly responsible for failed policy for not including them

Candace D. You are seen and heard. I was 'temp disabled' injured my knee couldnt walk for months. I was housebound bc of the pain, every part of me ached not just my knee. I rested for months at home. It sucked the life out of me. Abled people wont get it till it happens to them.
