The last #Bluebells to bloom on RoseHill. All trees, woodland & habitat here will be destroyed by developers, allowed by City of Doncaster Council who own this land but are selling it for profit, despite saying they’ll protect places like this. They should be ashamed (but of course they’re not)

More #greenwashing from City of Doncaster Council boasting about being a “Tree City” whilst selling off public land at Rose Hill to a developer and letting them chop down 1,100 grown trees & woodland (see pics below). The hypocrisy is breathtaking. Ros Jones - Mayor of Doncaster Ed Miliband #ClimateEmergency

"He is pursuing franchising to bring buses back under public control, with the depots and the fleet owned by the Mayoral Combined Authority." 👏 Great that Oliver Coppard used the first speech of his second term to recommit to bus franchising. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Having the head of the state oil company in charge of organising the biggest climate talks of the year is a massive conflict of interest COP29 Azerbaijan. Will you respond to the letter with almost 30k signatures from civil society? #COP29 act.350.org/sign/open-lett…

Not so much a failing to protect nature by City of Doncaster Council as deliberate action to destroy it: publicly owned wildlife habitat at RoseHill sold to a developer by a council that says it protects green spaces & biodiversity. No wonder nature is in crisis The Independent The Wildlife Trusts

Already failing on Ros Jones - Mayor of Doncaster priority to have “more green space” and a greener Doncaster as City of Doncaster Council sells green space & wildlife habitat at RoseHill to developers. Once again lots of words from the Council about how green they are: the reality is very different #greenwashing

How quickly 30 yr old trees, woodland & habitat has been turned into a lifeless wasteland. This apparently is what protecting green spaces, helping nature recover, stopping loss of trees & woodland to development, and tackling climate change means to City of Doncaster Council . Shame on them.

Woodland habitat at RoseHill destroyed, piles of dead trees, a public green space turned into a fenced-off lifeless wasteland. This is the truth behind City of Doncaster Council tree policy & their claim to protect green space, nature and the environment. Those responsible should be ashamed.

I've just added my name to We Own It's open letter to Secretary of State for Transport Louise Haigh calling for the new Better Buses Bill to include public ownership, with a voice for passengers, as default for local councils. Take 1 minute to add your name. weownit.org.uk/act-now/transp…
