PSA: The latest security update for 10.15.7 seems to have broken Acorn very badly, and I’m investigating what’s going on. Looks like OpenCL is broken, which Acorn 6 relies on.

Acorn Tip for Photoshop Converts: In Acorn you can copy/paste filters (aka Layer Styles) 1. Click cog icon in the Filters palette. 2. Click “Copy Filter”. 3. Select another layer. 4. Press CMD + V.

Good news, Apple released Security Update 2021-003 Catalina yesterday for 10.15.7, and it appears to have fixed the regression which broke Acorn 6 and below. You can grab it from Software Update in Sys Prefs. I will now try to (unsuccessfully) forget this ever happened.
