Here we take the duration of all the selected layers, divide it by three, go to the resulting timecode value, and then move forward the number of resulting frames. Not a fan of using buttons, manually enter using your keyboard too.

“Snap” a layer to a line in After Effects. Only takes 3 positions to get that magnetic effect.

Fun little set-up in AE: If you want to animate a property (i.e. Scale) with multiple versions/options on the same layer, and toggle through them, you can add some slider controls and a menu Control. Tie them together with an if/else statement, then animate the slider controls!
