Our house building programs were well represented SkillsUSA Virginia with almost a clean sweep at the district level. Carpentry (1st), Cabinetmaking (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Electricity (2nd, 3rd), Information Technology (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Masonry (1st, 2nd, 3rd). On to state comps in VA Beach!

Wonderful lesson by our English teacher where students in Auto Tech had to research advantages/disadvantages for traditional vs. electric vehicles using 4 sources. The next day they were divided into 2 groups and had to debate their side.

Congrats to Rosemary Koola, a student in the High Tech Academy program at the ACE Center @ HS. Rosemary took home first place in the Richmond Joint Engineers Council essay contest for her essay, "The Significance of Civil Engineers." Nice job, Rosemary! RJEC
