It was great to have the 1st & 2nd year girls from Ardscoil Mhuire on campus for the Access Schools Award Ceremony yesterday! #adayofcelebration
The Access Office hosted another successful Access Schools Award Ceremony in the Business at UL. We were delighted to welcome 7 of our partner schools Coláiste Nano Nagle Coláiste Chiaráin Coláiste Mhichíl, CBS: An Edmund Rice School @clements_st Desmond College Ardscoil Mhuire & St. John the Baptist to the celebration!
We welcome the 5th & 6th class pupils from Doon CBS - An Edmund Rice School as they attended the Scratch National Finals Day. The pupils got the chance to view and try the other kids’ projects, and they also got to experience VR headsets & Spheros! A big thank you Clare McInerney from Lero
Congratulations to the 5th & 6th class pupils from St. Joseph’s Boys School, Rathkeale for completing the Robotics Programme. Thank you to Michael Johnson from the Dept. of Electronic & Computer Engineering University Of Limerick for delivering the programme!
In May, we welcomed the 5th & 6th class from St. Joseph’s Boys School. As part of their UL School of Medicine, the School delivered workshops in Anatomy, Basic CPR/Handwashing/Listening to the in heartbeat, etc. The pupils had a fantastic day and were very impressed with UL School of Medicine!
We welcomed the 6th class from St John's Girls and Infant Boys’ School They examined limestone rocks for fossils, and sand from Connemara! They also visited Immersive Software Engineering where they learned about AI-Teachable Machine, Chat GPT! On 5th June we welcomed 6th class from Doon CBS - An Edmund Rice School & St John's Girls and Infant Boys’ School to University Of Limerick for the summer programme! The students learned about Climate Responsibility in Leadership and Entrepreneurship thanks to Business at UL! They also enjoyed the climbing wall & team activities UL Sport
Destination College doing a workshop on Routes to University with 5th years in Desmond College !
6th class loved their visit from Shauna Carroll on Monday from University Of Limerick ! They learnt all about the different blood types and did an interesting experiment to see which blood types are compatible! University of Limerick Access Office
