Welcome Kathrynn Ashworth to the Acadia Farm for the 2022 season! Kathrynn is a 2nd year student in Environmental & Sustainability Studies and History. From a fifth generation farming family and with interests in food security, Kathrynn will be strong addition to the team!

Last month our past Student Farm Coordinator, Sarah Boudreau, who graduated from Acadia University School of Education in 2020 and is now a teacher, led the annual Gardening 101 workshop for new student and community gardeners. Join us for a Garden Biodiversity Workshop on July 27 6:30pm at the Acadia Farm with Samuel Jean, Conservation & Education Technician at the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens. Learn about biodiversity, native and edible plants, and how to identify and remove invasive species.

Finally there was a break in the rain and we were able to deliver our first harvest to Acadia Dining Services at Wheelock Hall. Chef Peter received 8 lbs. of organic garlic scapes today delivered by Farmer Sophie using our awesome bike trailer!
