We had fantastic visit from Paul this week who taught Birch Class how to look after plants and where food comes from. We loved planting our own pumpkins!

Rowan are really enjoying their workshops with author Stephen Pass this morning! They’ve even learnt how to write in shorthand like journalists do!

Birch Class enjoyed taking part in an author workshop today. Stephen Pass read us his poems and story and told us what had inspired him to write them. We joined in with a mermaid song and designed our own shell hearts from his story ‘Madge the Mermaid’.

#Pineclass took part in different activities today, which informed them about the importance of keeping the ocean clean. We read the Story ‘Clean up’ and discussed what we could do to help the environment.

Birch class began their new book today - Clean Up! We explored how rubbish affects wildlife in the ocean and how oil spills have to be cleaned by hand.

Maple class have been drawing the whale from “storm whale” today as a fun activity for the end of our literacy lesson 🐳

In maths we are grouping and sharing objects into equal groups. Well done Maple Class

Observing and comparing different seeds and plants today in Pine class!

Pear class started their science investigation today to see how water is transported around a plant. We can’t wait to see what happens!

Rain doesn’t stop the fun in Buccaneers 🎈🎲🧩

Ash class have been experimenting with pentominoes this morning…finding all 12 pentominoes and then trying to make rectangles using different numbers of pentominoes!

Cherry class answered their comprehension questions as a table team this week. As you can see, they loved it!

Year 6 ready for Crucial Crew

Pine class were music makers today! We used the 2 sequence programme to create our own music. We experimented with tempo and different instruments!

Wow! Year 1 have been so creative this afternoon and made some incredible paper sculptures. We rolled paper to create these sculptures based on the work of Samantha Stephenson. Well Done Maple!
