The Multicultural Assembly at Lucas was a huge success! The energy was electrifying as Lucas students showcased their cultural diversity. From dancing to singing, the talent was amazing! It was a great feeling to have such a joyful event radiating throughout the building!

June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day. Today we recognize and celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures, and contributions of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.

Today at Lucas, we honour and commemorate the history and legacy of residential schools. We mourn those who never made it home, and we recognize the resilience of those who survived a painful and tragic history.

Our talented Lucas students have been diligently working on a mural outside the main office at Lucas. Great work! We can't wait to see the finished product! 😍
