The PhD Place #Guidance on how to do anything: designing robust #questions and methods, handling #data , publication ethics, effective public engagement. These are sacrificed at the altar of high-JIF publication; few PhD students familiar with them. No wonder we have a 'reproducibility crisis'.

The PhD Place Thank you! There are many others who can speak more authoritatively than me about these topics. Until not very long ago, I was just one of those PhD students with little idea of the seriousness of all these things.
Dr Hamid Khan The PhD Place Thanks for mentioning this. My PI recently asked grad students in his lab to take a course online about this and after the first 6 modules, I felt like I have been used overtime before my PhD. Here is a link to the course on Responsible Conduct of Research.
