A petition last year in favour of an early general election garnered 3 million signatures. Not holding an election in response was not undemocratic; the same goes for this petition. To suggest otherwise is fundamentally to misunderstand the nature of parliamentary democracy. 1/2

The EHRC must have a minimum of 10 commissioners. Currently, it only has 8, mostly appointed by Truss/Badenoch who wanted to influence the body. Labour (Bridget Phillipson) must balance this by appointing at least one trans person and others with different views for legitimacy.
