There's one universal currency for respect. I feel it every time I see that jacked dude at the gym, when I interact with a multi-millionaire, or when I see someone who's phenomenal as a person. Unwavering commitment bordering on devotion. Hard work.

In my own life, what I want to give to people, most importantly to people I love, is the power to deal with reality to get what they want. In pursuit of my goal to give them strength, I will often deny them what they "want" because that will give them the opportunity to struggle

If you meet a someone who always makes you feel better after being with them, you should prioritize spending more time with them. The opposite is also true, no matter what position of influence they have in your life.
