Instead of expanding affordable housing, we are punishing the very people who need our help. Homelessness is often a product of circumstance, not choice. Truly disappointing.

Explored a little of Indianapolis during my first week of intern year. As stated by a wise bench: “When I came here, I was looking for a community. Then I realized I was helping to create one.” So excited to get to know this community over the next four years!! #mp4l

This happened across the street from my weekly clinic last night. A horrible loss for our community. There is so much we could have done as a community to prevent this from happening.
