RIP Katerina (Katy) Clark: a giant in the field, and the single biggest inspiration for my own work. Impossible to sum up her many contributions, but this is the passage I remember most often, from her pathbreaking, field-defining 'The Soviet Novel'. A huge loss.

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our beloved colleague, mentor, and friend, Katerina Clark. Let us come together on February 9 and honor the vibrant life of one of the greatest scholars of her generation.
