Nyá:wen to everyone who helped me get to where I am today. It feels like a dream.

Yesterday, Eabametoong FN experienced the devastating loss of their school from a fire. Their school was the safe haven for most of the youth and children. The students have seen all of their beloved school supplies, cultural and land-based supplies, and years of memories burn.

Wrapped up two days of excellent presentations and discussions on the Royal Proclamation ⁦Queen's University⁩ ⁦Queen's Universitylaw⁩ ⁦History@Hull⁩ - thanks to all and now on to plans for publication and dissemination of text and bead work project

This weekend, Dr. Lussier presented MWO (ret’d) Simon Linklater with a beaded replica of his medals, crafted with the help of six other Indigenous consultants.

I was honoured to take part in this heartfelt presentation. Thank you Simon for all that you give, and have given.
