Who's carrying Kerri Strug off the mat? Oh, that's right, Larry Nassar and Marta Karolyi; a pedophile who would go on to abuse the next few Olympic teams & 100's of others, & a physically & emotionally abusive monster. Maybe Strug's well-being wasn't the highest priority?

In 1996 Kerri was raised in an abusive system with no choice. A system that ran over the bodies and souls of little girls. Today, an athlete and her coach chose her safety first. This is the change we've worked so hard for. If you can't see it, you're part of the problem.

Unfortunately we detected a LOT of heteroresistance to cefepime-taniborbactam among metallo-beta-lactamase encoding CRE (29/34 strains). Worse - most of it undetected by standard testing. Congrats Carter Abbott on your hard work and these important data. Thanks The Lancet Infectious Diseases

Bacteria in our BRAINS?? Surprisingly, we observe translocation of gut bacteria to the brain via the vagus nerve. This occurs in mice fed a high fat diet, or without dietary changes in mouse models of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and autism. 🧵 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Thank you so much @madelinerb2 for this beautiful piece on heteroresistance! The clinical relevance of this undetected resistance phenomenon is becoming clear but many fundamental questions remain. Come and join our team and help unlock the mysteries - the Weiss Lab is hiring!
