Being the first person in my family in medicine is fun because everything I do is so exciting to them. I just told my mom that as a resident I’ll be a doctor and can prescribe medications for my patients and she said WOW REALLY!?!! And thinks it’s the coolest thing😭

Ring this Bell, 3 Times Well, The Toll to Clearly Say, My Treatments are Done, Its Course is Run, And I am On My Way! Mom finished chemo today and I couldn’t be more proud to be her daughter. I fear she’ll never know how much I love her. Congrats mama💕

Only took until my 3rd shift for my patient and their family to pull a tech aside and ask why they have not seen the doctor yet when I (the doctor) had seen and evaluated the patient and updated them and the family twice:) I love being a woman in medicine:)
