It was great hosting Prof. Karmel Shehadeh (Lehigh University) as part of our ISE seminar series. Prof. Shehadeh shared her research on how Operations Research can help with disaster planning under uncertainty! 🌦️

Markov Chains concluded with a fun in-class game on mathematically modeling “Chutes & Ladders” using Markov analysis (exercise inspired by Thomas Sharkey’s online tutorials). On to the next topic in the ISE540:338 course on Probabilistic Models in Operations Research!
