Lecturing in #Mathematics is like trying to build muscle in someone else by lifting the weights yourself and having them watch.

To open up discussions that lead to conceptual understanding, challenge #mathematics to go beyond finding the answer and ask them to create multiple representations (3+) of the solution.

Instead of rescuing our students' incorrect answers by telling them how to solve a #math problem, we should rescue their thinking by using questions that point to the big ideas of #Mathematics.
