Our account may have been quiet, but we've been hard at work developing new materials about the use of patient gonadal and fetal shielding. More information coming soon!!

What do you say, Random House Group?? X-ray shielding recommendations have changed - those turtles don’t need lead shielding at the dentist anymore!! (Although they may not need to go to the dentist at all since they don’t have any teeth. 😉)

Have you been tempted to use EHR or other software tools to add up patients' radiation doses from imaging studies? Then this position statement is for you!! TL;DR: The decision to do a diagnostic imaging exam should NOT be based on a patient's prior imaging radiation history.
