Jennifer Dorand, PhD, attended CU*iP, Conference for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics, at Stevens Institute of Technology in Jan. She gave a talk titled “Roadblocks and Radiation: My Journey to a Career in Medical Physics”, was a panelist, and manned a booth.

According to the World Economic Forum, at the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158 to achieve full gender parity. What can you do to change that?

Rachael Hachadorian, PhD, served as a panelist at CU*iP, Conference for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics, at UC San Diego in Jan. The panel focused on early academia, where energetic and eager students asked great questions about grad school.

Med PhysXplorers is a new community outreach initiative at the Spring Clinical Meeting in Henderson, NV. It aims to increase the reach of the AAPM public education mission to students ages 12-17. It will take place on Sun, March 30 (1-3PM) at the M-Hotel.

Deadline for the AAPM Sexual and Gender Minority Subcommittee (SGMSC) Trainee Travel Award is May 5! Created to assist med phys students/trainees in the LGBTQIA+ community & allies with a history of supporting LGBTQIA+ equity, it covers $2k related to Annual Meeting attendance.
