A nice article in C2W, explaining what I did and what I'm planning to do! The story is in Dutch, but feel free to ask me what's in the there if you're interested, or try google translate😉 sciencelink.net/nieuws-and-ver…

My manuscript entitled: "An engineered non-oxidative glycolytic bypass based on Calvin-cycle enzymes enables anaerobic co-fermentation of glucose and sorbitol by Saccharomyces cerevisiae", has been accepted for publication in Biotechnology for Biofuels and Bioproducts!! 🥳

I had another chance to present my work, this time at VIB Conferences VIB #microbes22 in Leuven. I had a great time at this very well-organized conference, with many interesting talks and posters, and an enjoyable city walk, topped off with a delicious meal!

I am very happy and grateful that I will be able to conduct my own research at DTU thanks to the Rubicon grant awarded by NWO! I cannot wait to move abroad and start working on the development of orthogonal regulatory systems in yeast to control growth and product formation.
