Interesting nugget here from AA commish Joshua Schaub on the Lincoln Saltdogs broadcast last night. Lincoln will apparently be hosting the 2026 AA All-Star Game and it was already awarded...no one had announced it for whatever reason Indy Ball Report Indy Ball Nation

I wonder if someone in the St. Paul Saints front office is thinking "damn, it would be nice to not be attached to this sinking ship right now..." Kind of how the Washington Wild Things directly attack the Pirates about winning, I'm sure the Saints would like to do the same

Probably too late for the playoff push, but I like Winnipeg picking off guys coming back from Mexico as their season comes to a close down there

After the way the last two nights went for Sioux Falls, I'm not sure they deserved a win tonight, but they did in fact get one

Four teams already are assured of better records than last year. Two are already assured of worse records (all bolded). Interesting that it's possible for EIGHT teams to have better records than a year ago

Hate to see this. Loved watching Mike in Wichita and St. Paul and was happy to see him on the mound this year. Hopefully, he's back and pitching well in '26

I had heard some rumblings that this was happening. Now the early-season MVP front-runner (.386, 10 HR, 31 RBI in 29 games) is back to pick up where he left off

I'm not sure I remember a more wide-open race for American Association Pitcher of the Year. Several others having great years (Weatherbee, Crigger, Hansel, Brown, Drury, etc.) just missed this list. Just amazing how many pitchers in the AA are performing at an ace level this year

An 86-pitch CGSO is some naaaasty work. Dykhoff now has a 1.67 ERA in 86.1 innings. Absurd work this year—and he didn't even crack the rotation for the first month and a half of the season!

Ottawa was 11-24 at one point and under .500 as late as July 26. They're 36-16 since June 19. Absolutely insane run to get into playoff position
