Thank you The James at Ohio State, Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology, Ohio State Otolaryngology - HNS, and Pelotonia for all the support. Looking forward to this year's ride!
Proud of my first grad student @jacobconarty for his first first-author paper Ohio State Otolaryngology - HNS Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology
Happy to share that our story is out! Science Immunology Our study demonstrates that sustained CD28 signaling, is required to maintain PD-1+ CD8 T cells during chronic antigen stimulation (1/) science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
Now accepting applications for the Immunology and Immunotherapeutics PhD Graduate Program (I2GP) The Ohio State University College of Medicine. How do tertiary lymphoid structures form in tumors? We don't know! But we tried to summarize the little we do know here, Andreas Wieland Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology Ohio State Wexner Medical Center Surgery Dept.: frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…
We’re looking forward to #TRCCC ‘24 “Expediting Progress in Cancer Immunotherapy.” Many thanks to the #PIIO’s robert baiocchi & Thomas Mace, Ph.D. for their leadership on the TRCCC BoD! Also many thanks to #PIIO recruit Andreas Wieland, who’ll be presenting @ TRCCC. go.osu.edu/CjzZ
Excited to share my PhD work from RafiAhmedLab. We show how CD8 T cells overcome the inability to predict how long a viral infection will last by making adaptable precursor cells a priori—an elegant strategy for an inherently non-prescient immune system. tinyurl.com/53nrpsa6
The inaugural meeting of the program on Human Immunology of Cervical Cancers was held today at ICGEB, New Delhi . The event featured insightful addresses from Dr. Lawrence Banks, DG ICGEB Official , and Dr. Rafi Ahmad from Emory Vaccine Center, Atlanta, USA. This collaborative research
Proud of my former mentee/"little sister" Julia Gensheimer, PhD who successfully defended her PhD thesis at UCLA and us now heading back to med school.
We’ve known CD7 marks exhausted T cells, but not what it does - until now. Proud to be part of this study with the Hudson Lab BCMHouston showing CD7 protects terminally exhausted CD8 T cells from apoptosis, boosting their persistence in chronic infection. cell.com/cell-reports/f…
