Today I lived out a dream. Walked to a gorgeous seaside cafe (even better, it belongs to my husband), and sat with a coffee, my dog laying at my feet, writing. God knows our inner most wants and quietly and gently he works them out in ways we could never expect. Joy filled day!

Sat watching the kids at their last swimming lesson before our local leisure centre is closed. The devastating fact is that I’m sure the council would have saved the centre if it didn’t happen to sit on the most beautiful piece of land that they’ll now be able to sell 💰 😔 😡

Decided to reward my hard work this morning by watching the first ep of the new #TheSplit series while I ate lunch. Definitely wasn’t expecting to be crying so much by 1 in the afternoon 😭what a series opener!

Why is being a mum of a couple of boys mainly me helping them come up with ways to smash/destroy things?

I’ve tried really hard today with some cakes for church tomorrow. I always bake when they ask and they always look awful. In my head these were gonna be awesome. I don’t think I nailed it but never mind the kids still tell me I’m the best baker so 🤷‍♀️

My eight year old excitedly told me that he’d heard you could ‘set your farts on fire’ and then proceeded to tell me some scientific way he’d seen on tv. Chose not to let him in on the lighter under the bum joy of secondary school. Some things are worth waiting for.
