The name España derives from Hispania, the name with which the Romans geographically designated the Iberian Peninsula. The Romans gave Hispania the meaning of "land abundant in rabbits", a usage picked up by many emperors. Anglos, why Spain and not 'Rabbitland' or something? 🤔😂

The lullaby had its adaptation to flamenco. Some lullabies were very well received by the cantaores, and they interpret them increasing the theme. Almost always, it is done to the beat of the soleá por bulerías. The artist Blanca Paloma performs a beautiful flamenco lullaby here.
