Was set up tonight waiting to see if I could photograph from Maryland the @Spacex launch of #crew10 going by , but after the scrub I stayed and managed to get the International Space Station passing directly in front of the moon. Capital Weather Gang Justin Berk

This morning’s lunar eclipse “Japanese Lantern Effect” seen in the 5 minutes before and after totality. I love the variety of colors visible, from deep red, orange, yellow, then purples to blue to white on the sliver still illuminated by the sun. #LunarEclipse #EclipseLunar

Today at 3:03.08 pm the International Space Station transited the sun as seen from Washington DC in the middle of the nationalmall halfway between the Washington Monument and US Capital. Fortunately the scattered clouds stayed away during the less than 1 second transit, and I could capture

One year ago today I witnessed my first total solar eclipse, from a frozen lake in far northeast Vermont near the Canadian border. If you ever in your life have an opportunity to see totality, even if you have to travel far distances, do it. You won’t regret it. #solareclipse

Too bad weather caused a scrub of the ULA Atlas V rocket launch of Amazon’s #Kuiper1 last night, conditions were clear along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland to view it overlooking the Bay Bridge.

This mornings smiley face conjunction of the moon, Saturn, and Venus seen from Maryland. I rotated the last photo to show the smiley face without having to tilt your head. Capital Weather Gang Justin Berk Tony Pann #StormHour

Tough to spot with the sun still up, but got a pic of the ULA of #Kuiper1 on the Atlas V rocket as it sped up the east coast passing by Maryland. Pic taken looking southeast over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge from Sandy Point. Justin Berk Capital Weather Gang Project Kuiper

Thunderstorm moving through at sunset made for dark clouds and lightening, sunset illuminated sky, and a partial rainbow all in one single exposure image. Unbelievable! Last evening in Ocean City, MD. Justin Berk Capital Weather Gang #StormHour Tony Pann The Weather Channel
