This may be one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever seen in football. An icon getting a grand farewell, marching through a guard of honour to be greeted by the man he forged an era with. Better together, always.

The biggest takeaway from this game for me, was easily how impressive Dean Huijsen already looked. Silky on the ball, solid and dominant in defence - an all round impressive debut. Frightening to think he's still only 20 and has barely integrated with the team yet!

Xabi Alonso already showing a ruthlessness in dropping Vini - this could very well be what he needs to spark himself out of this funk he’s in. Also a BIG fan of Alonso rotating and doing stuff like giving Franco a start. Very promising early signs for Xabi.

What a devastating cameo this was from Vini, that’s exactly what we wanted to see. Statement made and he’s shown why he is the undisputed choice on the left - when he’s in that mood, there’s no other choice. Unfortunate for Rodrygo.
