I’ve just read the story of Dr Femi Atiba. A young medical doctor who was overworked and overwhelmed with patients until he collapsed and died. He told his senior doctors that he didn’t feel well but he was compelled to come to work. He collapsed and died on the way to ICU.

The death of a doctor, forced to work a 72-hr call while ill, is a wake-up call Nigeria cannot ignore. This is not just "hard work." This is dangerous and inhumane. We demand: ✅ Enforced limits on consecutive working hours. ✅ Safe environments where sick doctors can rest.
