The year is 2047, every Go function and method in existence is instrumented with dozens and dozens and dozens of lines of tracing code.

Eventually, you find the business logic.

Underrated website, I've taken a bit of inspiration from this one, esp. in terms of categorization and layout

I hand rolled many RESTful clients in the past, itโ€™s pretty cool to see companies use Protobuf with an RPC framework as their public API.

It becomes THAT much easier to generate or fetch a client (in multiple languages) and just get going.

Schemas for the win!

Looking forward to playing with this over the holidays to see if it maintained the properties that made it appealing.

My favorite thing about working at OpenAI is being given the total freedom to dive deeply into your rabbit hole of choice. My choice was the Kubernetes scheduler and I've written a personal blog post sharing some interesting things I've learned about it

Curious if others have thoughts on using multiple Go modules within the same repository to evolve/version different bits separately, e.g., a CLI vs a package.

For local development, `go work` solves this nicely, making it a non-issue.

I miss the days of seeing real GitHub notifications from people.

Dependabot is great and all, but it's made the notifications tab barely usable.

It took about 6 months of gradual change (shorter than I expected) but I finally use zero Google products for my personal life. Moved my email to Fastmail with my own domain, browser to Safari, maps to Apple, search to Kagi. Less painful than I expected, no noticeable downsides.
