Women who truly understand what modesty is aren’t seen discussing just anything and everything on social media. Subhān Allāh. Remember, modesty encompasses not only clothing but also actions. Why share opinions, likes/dislikes, and details about your entire life online, sisters?

When our phone occupies more of our time than the Muṣḥaf, we should be worried about the state of our īmān. Reflect on the time you have spent on your phone today, and compare it to the time you have spent holding the Book of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى in your hands.

Training the soul in Ikhlāṣ (sincerity) is the greatest pursuit of the pious ones. They are always occupied with it.

Be kind and generous to people, for Allah سبحانه وتعالى will raise from among them those who will sincerely pray to Him for you. This is something profound: to have others sincerely pray to Allāh for you.

No matter how good an act of worship is, if it is not purified for Allāh alone and based on the Sunnah, it is an effort in futility. May Allāh سبحانه وتعالى grant us purity of intention in all that we do.

We can’t plant wheat and expect to harvest dates. Similarly, we can’t fill our kids’ minds with music and movies and expect to reap knowledge of the Qur’ān and Ḥadīth. We can only reap what we sow.

Students of knowledge must refrain from fueling fitnah. Instead, they should remain calm, composed, and ensure peace prevails. Is it not better to meet Allāh سبحانه وتعالى with a heart free from grudges against fellow believers?

A person’s actions speak more about how beneficial their knowledge has been to them than the number of pages they have memorized. When we learn the Sunnah, we must strive to ensure that it reflects in our appearance, speech, actions, and interactions with people.

At every stage in life, everyone has a weak area that needs improvement; no one claims to be perfectly pious, except perhaps the most ignorant among us. We should all strive to get better in our dīn.

Social media is a double-edged sword. We can be the cause of great good or a source of tremendous evil at the click of a button. By simply refining our nīyyah (intention), our actions on social media will be a source of goodness, spreading the Dīn and preventing evil.
