I met Student U at Orientation. My effort to connect yielded little eye contact and few words. Since, I have greeted them, pretty much daily, with no response. Then yesterday in the crosswalk before school, a slight head nod. Today, Student U waved at me. Student U is #MyWhy 💚💛

I enjoyed bringing Paradise High School’s rural rebuild perspective to the CA Department of Education summit for paid Student Internships! We heard from speakers including State Superintendent Tony Thurmond and an inspiring student whose life changed due to his #CTE internship. Let’s do this!

So excited about our first session at Paradise High School with Creative Leadership Solutions! Teachers get to be the experts in the classroom and have the autonomy to choose what instructional strategies they want to try to impact student learning and guide #plc work. #goodtobeabobcat

Pretty proud of myself for traveling across the country solo! I just wrapped up a conference in Orlando with EdChoice where I met amazing people and discussed innovation in education. So grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow!

Our educational consultant stood in front of Paradise High School staff to talk about the results of our school wide Action Research Project to decrease cell phone usage and stated “I've never seen anything like that happen in my educational career in over 30 years." I am SO proud.

How was my weekend? Full of spending time with our Paradise Rotary Club meeting good people at the District 5160 Assembly!
