MicroBooNE Did you know that the MicroBooNE collaboration was the first major particle physics experiment to have two women spokespeople? The project to build the detector was also led by women (project manager, deputy PM, and integration engineer). #WomenInSTEM

Last week many of our researchers attended #IOPHEPPAPP2022 - the first big in-person event for many in over two years. Thanks to IOPHEPP and Rutherford Appleton Laboratory for hosting such a great event. Here's a round-up of some of the great talks/posters by Cambridge University researchers...

I've now been asked multiple times for my take on Elon's offer for Twitter. So fine, this is what I think about that. I will assume the takeover succeeds, and he takes Twitter private. (I have little knowledge/insight into how actual takeover battles work or play out) (long 🧵)

Congratulations to MicroBooNE collaborator Karolina Wresilo of Cambridge High Energy Physics Group for winning the US National Lab Physics Slam in the Scientific Discovery category, explaining how neutrinos can explain the origins of the Universe.
