The people claiming Ukraine has "no chance" to recover their land simply aren't analysts. Flat out. They are not analysts. They have not followed the war. They do not study it. They have been behind in understanding literally every aspect of the war from day one. They never saw

*Walter Bloomberg This is complete nonsense. In 1994, Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees from the U.S., Russia, and Europe. Neither the U.S. nor Europe actually fulfilled those guarantees, we didn’t fight for Ukraine, we only sent weapons and money. Let’s not

What this means is American satellites will see Russian bombers carrying missiles taking off, bound for Ukrainian hospitals, power and transport infrastructure, and they will intentionally choose to sit on their hands rather than warn them it’s coming.

Well Europe, time to take a deep breath, hitch up your pants, roll up your sleeves, and do everything you can to help Ukraine. No one else will. Its not only their freedom on the line--its yours too.

Essentially, this means that buying and using American technology becomes a national security issue - you can never know when The Donald decides that your country treats America very, very badly and decides to twist your arms in violation of everything that can be violated.

The main thing here though is how quickly USA went into the trash bin. For all its flaws, and differences aside, I've always consider the US to be a strong and reliable ally. Now ... I just don't know. I've never been anti-american, but good lord, it's growing on me. 😞

Aaron Rupar A trade deficit isn’t a “loss”—it’s not a scoreboard. It means we’re buying more goods than we sell, often because Americans can afford more, and our dollar is strong. Calling a deficit a “loss” is like saying you’re losing money at the grocery store because you bought dinner

There is an insidious idea that has crept into software through the open source movement, which is that software no longer being modified is "abandoned". It's very possible - even desirable - for software to simply be "finished". To serve its purpose reliably, as a tool should.
