What does human white matter look like in cognitive decline? I’ve been asking this in my postdoc in the @MironLab and was thrilled to present prelim findings UK DRI Early Career Researcher Network conference. No better way to round out the first 8 months in Edinburgh, nor a better lab to have spent it with!

This week Dr. Georgina Craig introduced me to SCoRe imaging, a label-free way of assessing myelin damage. Here you can see the SCoRe signal in green-cyan, with intense signals showing compact vs. non-compact myelin. Myelin basic protein is in red, and nuclei in white. #FluorescenceFriday

Postdoc alert! Opportunities don’t come better than this — Anna is an incredible mentor leading groundbreaking research, with a supportive and generous team, in a gorgeous historical city (if you need any more convincing — there are pastries at lab meeting!)
