Midmorning I like to think that once my body was a willow, and I was good with stillness and the fluidity of a moment, joining the wind in movement or another body brushing through. I could not still, now, if God asked.

This year I'm going to start going through all of my poems and organizing them so that I can eventually chapbook them. Wish me luck, and patience, and willpower. 🤞🏾

We conducted our 2nd workshop today and it was somehow even more memorable than the first. A wonderful group of poets joined us, engaging in such enriching conversation about poetry. Big thanks and warmth to everyone who made it 🩷 what a start to 2025

For my birthday this year I’ll be seeing my two favorite actors, Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, act in my favorite Shakespeare play, Othello, and I absolutely cannot wait. Cheers to turning 30 🥂
