I missed this earlier. Un-freakin-believable. AJ Gracia got ejected for this and now has to miss the opening game of super regionals. As Chris Pollard aptly put it, this is an absolute travesty. Truly disgraceful. "Our sport deserves better than that," Pollard said. Damn right.

Atta boy Jack, good on you for getting this out. This is so far from the intent of the rule and the decision to enforce it on the field is poor. Let the kid play next week, it’s the right thing to do and I don’t see how it’s even up for argument.

The NCAA needs to do the right thing here. AJ Gracia, Chris Pollard, and Duke Baseball deserve WAY better than this. Watch Jack’s video and think about how silly this is.
