For me was a humongous effort, but learned a lot! Here some #perspectives on "Lithium Niobate Meta-Optics" (especially nonlinear). A huge thank you to Dragomir Neshev for the trust. Universität Jena & Università degli Studi di Brescia too! Waiting for ACS Photonics ASAP, here a glance on arxiv.org/abs/2211.00359

Have you seen the Human course by Kent Trammell ? I'm on the second video and I'm already amazed with it. So simple and direct to the point. Just amazing. If you want to learn how to make a realistic face, this is essential!! Seriously.

Let's talk about JAX's vmap! It's a transformation that can automatically create vectorized, batched versions of your functions... but what exactly it does is sometimes misunderstood. So let's dig-in!

We did it! We entangled photons you can see (actually 1550 nm) with those e.g. your mobile phone uses (a few GHz). This is tricky, because light and superconductors (needed for quantum microwave circuits) do not like each other => loss and noise! arxiv.org/abs/2301.03315 🧵/1

Deep Learning and Computational Physics - Lecture Notes, University of South California Great & concise notes on various fundamental topics in deep learning. The notes got a nice structure. Starts from the very basics, gradually to some DL architectures. arxiv.org/abs/2301.00942…

I asked a quantum engineer once what it would cost to build this today. I will never forget his answer: "We can't, we don't know how to do it."
