It’s simple: Internet access is a pillar of academic opportunity. This #BackToSchool season, Congress has an obligation to America’s students to secure #ACP. It’s time for action… #OnlineForAll pewtrusts.org/en/research-an…

New research from Roberto Gallardo shows that 42.2% of rural residents said price is the reason they don't have a home Internet subscription. 38.9% said they couldn't get a connection installed. Almost 3/4 of respondents with a disability cited price as the biggest barrier to Internet.

Members of Energy and Commerce Committee / Energy & Commerce Democrats must understand that our window of opportunity to protect affordable internet for over 21 million households is closing fast. Congress can earn a much-needed bipartisan win by funding #ACP. Here’s why: thehill.com/opinion/techno…

Kudos to The White House for including $6 billion in the domestic supplemental for the Affordable Connectivity Program, the monthly broadband subsidy for low-income, tribal and high cost households. It's critical that *everyone* is connected to the Internet! whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/…

“78% of Americans support continued funding for the #AffordableConnectivityProgram,” ✍️ Kathryn de Wit for The Hill. Congressional funding for #BroadbandForAll is a nonpartisan no-brainer. pew.org/48sZQZq

Providers are beginning to notify #ACP enrollees that their benefits are ending – leaving 22 million households in the dark. More here on what will happen if Congress doesn’t save this lifeline ↓

The Affordable Connectivity Program is set to expire in April. I’m live in Lynn with the Massachusetts Digital Equity Coalition to call for an extension of this essential funding. We need internet access for all. x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

It's Tuesday, February 20th and I just received my fifth email from an ACP recipient telling me that they benefit from the program and asking what they can do to protect it.

Without the Affordable Connectivity Program, millions of Americans like my guest to the #StateoftheUnion, Mr. Milton Perez, would be denied the low-cost, reliable broadband they’ve come to depend on. It’s up to Congress to protect these benefits for Americans & their families.

Glad to see the Affordable Connectivity Program called out in the President Donald J. Trump budget request. Now it’s time for Speaker Mike Johnson Steve Scalise Hakeem Jeffries Chuck Schumer Mitch McConnell to keep 23M households - including about 2.7M in the states you represent - connected

The #ACP isn't just about internet access, it’s about giving hard-working American families the tools for success. Research shows every dollar invested generates $3.89 in spending for households. Learn more from the FCC’s latest survey. #ExtendACP fcc.gov/acp-survey

For more than a year, we have said that ACP is a cornerstone to BEAD. That's one of many reasons Congress must take immediate action to save it. Today, I had the honor of testifying on that to members of the Senate Commerce Committee. Now it's on them to get it done.

Access to the internet is vital for education, employment, telehealth services, & so much more. We cannot afford to reverse course on the progress made in closing the digital divide. Congress must come together & extend funding for the ACP to help keep folks connected.
