24 Oct 1943 // Destroyer HMS Eclipse sank after striking two mines off Kalymnos in the south-eastern Aegean while carrying soldiers of the Royal East Kent Regiment to reinforce the garrison on Leros. She broke in two and sank very quickly: 119 crew and 134 soldiers died. [1/2]
