Last week on Monday and Tuesday was our first retreat in #Meißen! Apart from our usual crew from Germany we were happy to also welcome our team members from @D3TN US, Juan and Scott. It have been productive and fun two days and we are very much looking forward to the next time!

In early July we participated in the yearly event “OUTPUT” of the TU Dresden. Our team member Scott held a keynote speech on the theme “On Tolerance of Delay”. Furthermore, we were proud to award the D3TN prize to a student to reward his outstanding master´s thesis.

Yesterday during our monthly #Hackathon we took the opportunity to further prepare our #REDMARS field test that will take place from the 16th to 18th of August. A RINAish #DTN approach is intended to be implemented into this field test, you can definitely look forward to it!

Last week on Tuesday we participated in the 114th @IETF meeting. It was very interesting to follow the discussions about #DelayTolerantNetworks, especially about the issue of #DTN naming and addressing. We are very much looking forward to the next time! youtu.be/VF2vB5QTx9c

Yesterday, we´ve performed a #fieldtest with #drones to test our #DTN IPND implementation, which is used for the dynamic discovery of #network nodes. Although initially we had a few technical difficulties, we are happy to announce that the field test has been successful.

Last week, we participated in a workshop of the InterPlanetary Network (ipnsig.org) where different approaches regarding data forwarding in a #SolarSystem #Internet were being presented and discussed. It was very interesting and we are happy to have been part of the discussion.

The DLRK 2022 event has finally started! It takes place from the 27th until the 29th of September in #Dresden. We are looking forward to three days featuring numerous conferences, exciting lectures, new contacts and interesting discussions. Hoping to meet you at our booth!

After 2 days of interesting lectures from others, today we finally had the opportunity to give a presentation by ourselves at the DLRK. Marius Feldmann talked about the field tests which we performed, specifically in the context of our REDMARS project. It was a very fun session!
