Illegal Parking on Tram Tracks have been increased on Lenin Sarani Road and Even Police Cars are parked on Tracks. There is no strict rule and I think Kolkata Police is not in mood for running Trams in the City and unnecessary blaming them for creating congestion. Shame !!

Blast from the past! These are from a video taken in 1989 of a tram journey in Gariahat. You can see that the tram line was built on a grass-bed track, separate from vehicular traffic. In my opinion, we should have preserved this incredibly modern mode of transportation.
