There isn't a deal. I've worked with plenty of investors. They never increase the valuation of a company based on the hopes that performance improves. You have to prove it before you earn it. I guess there are a different set of rules for publicly traded companies?

$AAPL added $500B in market cap while revenues declined 10%. Nice.
