An excellent day at the Birchip Cropping Group (BCG) Spring Field Day where we had the opportunity to talk about new IMI barley #Neo. Congratulations to Tim morcom from Kieth on your Neo seed for the 2024 season 🏆

The cereal disease year is under way. Septoria tritici blotch from the slopes region of southern NSW. Crown rust in oats and wheat steak mosaic virus confirmed as well. Keep an eye on early sown grazing crops. @NSWDPI_AGRONOMY Steven Simpfendorfer

Tina Dunn received a 40 year DPI service award today. She has made a huge contribution to irrigated agricultural research, working in the background out of the spotlight. Well done what a wonderful achievement. @NSWDPI_AgWater AgriFutures Australia Rice Extension
