Thanks UroToday.com for sharing our work, which shows low treatment-guideline compliance for patients with cT1 bladder cancer. However, there is a trend toward increased use of guideline-based treatment (BCG or upfront RC). Sima Porten @samwashuro Maxwell Meng

Our results support safety of AS for patients with GG1 and select patients with GG2 at dx. Men with GG2 and 2+ high grade cores at dx may benefit from earlier curative treatment. #AUA19 Carroll, Peter Matt Cooperberg UCSFUrology

Active surveillance for #prostatecancer Data from Ashwin Balakrishnan Matt Cooperberg Carroll, Peter UCSFUrology No difference in recurrence rates after RP if GG1 or low-volume GG2 High-volume GG2 (2 or more cores) more likely to recur ow.ly/LQ2150vypmD #pcsm

Using low cost models they designed, David B Bayne and Ashwin Balakrishnan lead simulation workshops with East African urologists to teach skills in flexible ureteroscopy and ultrasound guided PCNL. The models will be used locally for ongoing training.
